Help us close the gap and finish PLANTED strong!

GIVE A ONE-TIME GIFT NOW TOWARD FINISHING PLANTED
COMMIT TO GIVE LATER TOWARD FINISHING PLANTED
In addition to obtaining a more traditional mortgage from a bank to purchase our building, the sellers graciously agreed to finance a portion of the sale directly at an incredibly low interest rate (1.75%). We agreed to pay them back each May over 4 years (May 2022 – May 2025).

To cover these payments, our church body committed to give financially over 4 years through a capital campaign we called PLANTED.

However, over the course of time, a portion of those who originally committed have since moved or otherwise left our body. The vast majority have discontinued their original giving commitment.

This has created a gap in funding that has grown over time.

We have covered this gap by subsidizing from our general fund. But the growing size of the gap is making it more difficult to subsidize and is straining our overall financial health.

We realize a large percentage of our current church body was not present for the original PLANTED capital campaign, so we are inviting those interested and able to join us in finishing our payments to the sellers.

We have two payments remaining (May 2024 of $138,125 and May 2025 of $131,562).

Our estimated gap for May 2024 is $50k. If our current levels hold steady, our gap for May 2025 will be about $43k.

1. Commit to give over time toward PLANTED until May 2025. If you choose to commit, please let us know by using THIS FORM.

2. Give a one-time gift toward PLANTED. You may do so HERE

  1. What if I already give toward PLANTED? Thank you! While some who currently give toward PLANTED may desire to increase their giving, this appeal is primarily for those who have not yet been invited to join PLANTED.
  2. Am I able to give through a transfer of stock or other securities? Yes! Contact Eric for the needed information.
  3. Why did we originally finance the purchase of the building in two different ways? By financing a portion of the sale through the sellers at such a low interest rate (1.75%), our mortgage through the bank was much more manageable.
  4. What was the original total purchase amount of the building? $4M. Of this amount, roughly half was committed through our original PLANTED campaign.
  5. Why did we purchase our building? We were previously renting a building. We wanted to own our building not only to steward our finances well, but also because we desire to be planted in our city for the long-term. Our particular building sits at the busiest intersection in Fort Collins, allows for a mutually beneficial relationship with the Harmony School preschool, and holds potential for future development and community uses.
