I grew up in Keller, Texas, attending a Church of Christ throughout my childhood and teenage years. After high school I went to Texas A&M University for a degree in Kinesiology. During my time there I was a part of a great student ministry where my faith and identity in Christ grew significantly. After I finished that expensive four year degree, I decided to move to Colorado and become a full-time mountain guide for an outdoor youth ministry… my parents were so proud! During my time with Wilderness Trek, God revealed a passion for working with youth, which eventually led to a career as a middle school teacher. I am now chasing a new passion and career in construction and business.

Jes and I met in college, but she didn’t give me the green light until 10 years later. I guess she needed a decade to be convinced that I was the best option. We have two beautiful curly-haired girls, Holland and June. They have been an awesome disruption to our lives, and who God uses regularly to point out our need for Him.

Through all of these life experiences, God has developed a love and passion for church community and discipleship. The church is a good gift from God, and we desperately need each other to become more like Jesus!
